Named after gambit — the calculated risk.
We fuse peer-reviewed research with real platform experience to build athletes who compete with precision and confidence.
Gamfit Strength Systems takes its name from the chess concept of the gambit — a deliberate, calculated sacrifice made to gain a stronger position. It's not reckless. It's not blind. It's strategic. That philosophy sits at the core of everything we do.
We believe strength is built at the intersection of science and experience. Every program we write is grounded in peer-reviewed research and exercise science — then refined by the anecdotal trends and hard-won wisdom that only come from years on the competition platform.
We don't just write programs. We build athletes. Whether you're stepping on the platform for the first time or chasing a national total, Gamfit gives you the system, the strategy, and the team to get there.
Gamfit was built on a single idea borrowed from chess: the gambit. You take a calculated risk — sacrifice comfort, routine, and the easy path — because you see the stronger position ahead. That's how we coach. Every training decision is deliberate, backed by science, and sharpened by real competition experience.
Erick has coached 90+ athletes from local meets all the way to the national stage, blending the rigor of Ph.D.-level exercise science research with the hard-won knowledge that can only come from standing behind a lifter on the platform. This is where serious athletes train.
These are athletes we program for. Each one lists the lift, the numbers, and how long it took. We track this because it is how we tell whether a program is doing its job.
130kg to 160kg. The entire 30kg was added while the athlete was in a calorie deficit.
226kg to 285kg over roughly half a year of continuous programming.
Her meet best in October 2025 was 176lb. She came into the block at a 186lb training PR and is now holding a 204.5lb single. Three blocks, about twelve weeks, four bench sessions a week.
A 375lb squat single taken at RPE 8, with about two reps still in the tank. That is 61lb above her best platform squat.
30kg added to his squat in under two months.
80kg to 92.5kg on the bench between February and April 2025. No extra volume was added to her program during the block.
17.2lb, or 7.8kg, built off four top singles per week.
15lb, or 7kg, added in a little over a month.
Phase 1 used a dose response approach. We started with smaller jumps in training load to see how she recovered before pushing harder, and that early data set the loading for the rest of the block.
